Zelenskyy Inspects Defenders in the Vicinity of Embattled Pokrovsk
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made a trip to speak to defense personnel in the Donetsk region on the start of the week. He stated that he met with soldiers at the command post of the first unit of the state defense force Azov, which is leading defense efforts in the Dobropillya sector, an urban center approximately 20km from Pokrovsk.
Volatile Conditions in the Region
Recent mapping from a Ukrainian project revealed that opposition armies had pushed further into Pokrovsk and its environs, though much of it was not fully held by either side. National unmanned aircraft targeted a production facility approximately 1,300km inside Russia at the location. Regional authorities reported an explosion at the Sterlitamak facility that led to the partial collapse to suffer damage, adding that the cause of the explosion was not known. The Ukrainian military general staff stated there was extensive harm to the plant.
National forces confirmed attacking a Lukoil oil refinery at the location in the Russian region east of Moscow. The level of destruction was being assessed. The Russian regional governor verified an assault by multiple unmanned aircraft near Kstovo.
