Your Perfect Pokémon Legends: Z-A Super Form Based on Your Astrological Sign
This return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense excitement within the fandom. Starting with the one-by-one reveal of fresh additions before the game's release, to trainers developing firm views on the full lineup of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for fans to look forward to.
With many of the Mega Evolutions boasting distinctive designs that highlight their personalities, one thought naturally: How can link this with zodiac signs? This list is based on a mix of intuition, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.
Aries – Super Camerupt
Honestly, Houndoom was almost chosen for Aries, as they are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that inspire the greatest apprehension. However, a Mega Houndoom comes across as constantly angry, which isn't typical of the Ram's energy, known for being fun, cheerful, and impulsive. This makes the Ram much more similar to Mega Camerupt, which solely erupts when angered. Remain on the good side of both and enjoy a powerful partner; should you offend them, be ready to face the consequences.
Taurus – Mega Heracross
Similar to a devoted Bull, the steadfast Heracross species, whether in its regular and Mega form, has assisted many trainers in Legends: Z-A. Though trustworthy, each the creature and a Taurus are also battle-oriented, and – be it their trainer or a firm belief – will defend their side to the end. What about Super Heracross that recalls most of my Bull-sign companions, though, is its unashamed passion for treats. Many previous Pokédex entries note their craving for tasty tree sap and how it uses its horn to hoard it everything, which is true Taurus energy.
The Twins – Super Medicham
Look at this absolute queen. It's impossible to tell me this Pokémon is not the life of every party, offering an constant stream of gossip to anyone who wants to hear. Just like an enrapturing, gregarious Twins, it's incredibly easy to envision Mega Medicham mesmerizing an entire open area with their tales. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also states its ability to predict an enemy’s next moves, which sounds quite similar to a people-smart Gemini.
Cancer – Super Manectric
Cancer is commonly considered as the most emotional member of the astrological wheel, a intense sign famous for often getting absorbed in their emotions. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution fills the Pokémon with a “huge quantity of electricity, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to completely control,” which seems a lot like a classic Crab emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also recognized for its capability to create a thundercloud over its very head – and if there’s a single trait a Crab is going to do, it’s rain on their good time.
The Lion – Super Starmie
Oh, did you think I was planning to select Pyroar for the lion of the zodiac? Besides the fact that it would be far too on the nose, The Lion is clearly Mega Starmie, the diva whose legs just went viral for being too glamorous (or terrifying, based on your preference). Players were captivated from the violet sea star, and that’s exactly the same vibe a Lion brings to the table. This Pokémon is also rumored to be transmitting radio waves from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s typical of a Leo to be putting on a show, even if for aliens.
Virgo – Mega Victreebel
The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Virgo is perfectly represented in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with constant acid reflux. The sign known for being endearingly critical is clearly mirrored across this creature's entire evolutionary chain, from a always shocked expression like a Maiden when you tell them you lack a retirement plan, to its upside-down visage that’s similar to the symbol a Maiden posts to the group chat when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” instead of creating a plan.
Libra – Super Audino
Look at this gentle, empathetic creature, who employs the feelers on its auditory organs to detect how people are emotionally by their heartbeat. Always compassionate – occasionally to a detriment – and striving to maintain the harmony, there are numerous Scales who would likely appreciate Super Audino's abilities. Though, to be frank, it would likely just make them stress even more about others.
Scorpio – Super Banette
This Ghost-type is a creature with a unexpectedly sad backstory: Abandoned as a toy, it became sentient through sheer resentment and vowed revenge on its former owner. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That sounds precisely like many conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpion friends. A Scorpio loves cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the ideal pair with Mega Banette.
Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha
Each Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always putting on a show. As a Sagittarius personally, the amount of occasions I’ve called myself some variation of a “playful little jester” is countless. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its description even mentions how it “poses to show off its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius counterpart I can think of.
Capricorn – Super Absol
Were you aware that a Mega Absol has the power to foresee disasters ahead of time? That exudes the exact same energy as a Goat, who tends to always think they’re right. Interestingly, much like a prophetic Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the very first Super Form that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – just like a Goat to join the ground floor of the Mega trend.
Aquarius – Mega Chandelure
Detached element Water Bearer is possibly the non-flame placement that is most like a fire sign – its counterpart is Leo, and there are numerous jokes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being chaotic accomplices. Mega Chandelure’s double Ghost/Fire category fits perfectly with this, and the Super Form's overall daunting aura is also extremely Aquarius. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “draws in negative energy and converts it into strength.” If that fails to perfectly {encaps
