The City of Angels witnessed widespread festivities after the Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-match World Series championship. Fans worldwide joined local residents in celebration, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a franchise has achieved consecutive championships.
Victory Parade Draws Massive Turnout
Los Angeles area events included a downtown parade on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.
Social media videos depict thousands of Los Angeles residents packing city center avenues, many carrying homemade signs and team flags. The squad was seen riding high on a double-decker bus through the masses, raising the championship trophy high.
