Brassic Calls it a Day with Tarantino-Inspired Last Episode
Joseph Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst are wrapping up on their humorous show about a tight-knit bunch of endearing rogues running riot in a rural Lancashire town. One could anticipate the last episode to be a nostalgic highlight reel of alcohol, substances, and playful theft. However, the atmosphere turns much more somber as the character Vinnie, played by Gilgun and the crew barricade themselves in a pub with criminal figure Davey MacDonagh for a climactic 50th episode seemingly influenced by Quentin Tarantino.

Yet the second-to-last episode of this at first slow-moving but eventually gripping series about phone hacking sees Nick, portrayed by David Tennant discovering details about the actions of the News of the World that the other media outlets simply are forced to acknowledge. Things are also looking up for Dave, who has a unexpected new supporter.
